OneNote

The OneNote section enables you to provision a OneNote notebook for a Microsoft 365 Team or Group as part of a provisioning action.

Sections​

To define notebook structure, use the Add section button under Sections.
For each section:

  • Enter a name in the Title field.
  • Use the delete icon to remove a section.
  • Use the up/down arrows to reorder sections as needed.

Naming​

To provision the default OneNote notebook for the newly created Team or Group:

  • Check the Provision default notebook box.
    This creates a notebook with the same name as the Team or Group.

To define a custom name:

  • Uncheck both notebook checkboxes.
  • Enter a custom name in the Title field.
  • Use placeholders to dynamically construct the name based on metadata or context.

Extensibility​

To trigger an external process after the OneNote action completes:

  • Enter the URL of a webhook endpoint in the Webhook field.
    A POST request will be sent upon completion of the OneNote provisioning.
