Overview

Provisioning actions offer enhanced customization options for Teams, Groups, and SharePoint sites created by EasyLife. These actions are executed once, immediately after an object is created. You can filter provisioning actions based on templates or metadata. Actions are then applied to all relevant Teams, Groups, or SharePoint sites that match the configured filter after creation. In cases where an object matches multiple actions, all actions are applied following a specific order: provisioning actions without filters are applied first, followed by actions with filters, considering priority and alphabetical order.

There are two types of provisioning actions: actions for groups-based objects and actions for SharePoint sites.

Details

You can create a new action by clicking the Create an action button or duplicate an existing action by selecting it and clicking the Duplicate button.

In the Details section, provide a name for the action in the text field under Title. Set a priority for the action in the text field under Priority. Actions are applied sequentially in ascending order of priority. Actions with a priority of 0 are applied first. If the same setting is configured in different actions, the setting from the action that is applied last overrides the setting applied by previously run actions.

Filter

Actions can be scoped by template or metadata. Actions without filters are always applied.

To filter by template, navigate to the Filter by Template tab in the details section. Use the radio box to include or exclude the selected template. Select one or more templates from the list.

To filter by metadata, go to the Filter by Metadata tab in the details section. Use the radio box to include or exclude items with the configured metadata. Enter one or more metadata fields you want to use as a filter in the table.

Enable the Action

To activate the action, check the box next to Active.

In the detail site, you can change the action type to SharePoint. In this case, you'll only be able to apply provisioning actions to Communication- or Team site templates.
